That's with the new benchmark program. It has significant increases in performance.

Ya i was a bit mad my video card is holding me back a bit. I have a i7 Haswell 16g ram SSD but my 670 GTX 4tw only gets me to 10k.

Looks like i need some SLI titans!

For real for real. What's $2k on video when you've got such a banging system?

I know a lot of people are writing this game off, and honestly I don't blame them considering the history.

However, after playing the beta I have to say this game is honestly pretty damn good. It's strange, there is absolutely postively nothing new in this game. It's the same old shit and they just polished it, except .... somehow it's good. I get a real EQ feel from this game, it honestly feels like EQ3 in terms of game design. Every aspect feels like the next iteration of the concepts I've seen before. The zones are really well done and feel like distinct area instead of "Jungle themed level up zone"

The game really has exceptional pacing and variety. You go from an overly long tutorial to basic quests to teach you where stuff is in town. Then story quests happen about your char/city, you then go to class quests to teach you mechanics for you class. You then get pushed into the new areas and start some basic kill quests. It then pushes you into doing the public quests and more storyline stuff. By now you're level 10 and doing more class quests to get new abilities, it then keeps opening new features every 1-3 hours and there is a lot of variety - Story missions, Class quests, Public quests, Bounty Hunts, Guildhests, Guildleves, 4 man dungeons, Quest hubs, Grand Company missions, etc.

The class system is pretty sweet, your class is determined by your mainhand weapon. You can switch at any time. Leveing up multiple classes lets you slot in Jobs that have unique abilities, but limit your ability to equip cross-class skills you've earned. You can be a level 50 fully geared healer, then throw on a sword and instantly go to level 1 melee dps and go through the newbie area of a different town. Really great system that makes new classes and jobs additional content for everybody.

My only complaints are that the game is overly easy, at least up to level 20. No one has seen end-game stuff so I can't comment there.

Ashenor, myself, and a few others are playing on Marlboro server if anyone wants to join us. Send a tell to "Mugaaz Zaagum"

Going to be playing this game once I am able to log in.... I wanted to stream this game from character creation on. Well I made the mistake of waiting till the NDA was lifted. If I knew it was going to be this fucked up, I would of made my toon.

Well going to make a Paladin, and let me know if you guys have a guild going on.

Spam 0 on the numpad and you'll be able to get in eventuallyyyyyy.

And once you're in, you can just idle for as long as you aren't playing. There's no AFK kick timer or anything. Only thing that'll kick you is maintenance they do.

No, I can't even get to the part to enter my character information in.. servers were locked total for new characters.

Game died out hella fast. Cleared all of the content except Turn 5 after like 6 weeks. Not going to throw myself at Turn5 forever so yeah I'm done.

Especially since there's not going to be any more content for what like four more months? Ridiculous

Yeah, I pretty much envisioned it would die.

Especially when people were working on their epic quests like 3 weeks into the game.

That doesn't spell a large foundation.

Yeah I kind of got tired of the game just grinding out the same 5man over and over to get token to buy gear. At least in WoW it was a few dungeons, not just one that was worth while to do. And on game re-set day having to sit in que for a over an hour because their instance server was to shitty to support all the users.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for WildStar, that game looks amazing and is focused at least on raiding and it comes out with PvP as well. Believe it's spring of next year.

I envision tons of people are coming back in 1 week for 2.1, which looks amazing. I'll be resubbing then.

I hope (for your sake) that it's more than a month of content this time.

I like the idea of FF14, but it hasn't lived up to the hype thus far.

Holy fuck, can you shut the hell up already? I payed $20 for the original game, and will be paying $15 for 2.1. In what universe is 400 hours of content for AAA gaming a bad deal at this price? If I play 2.1 for 2 weeks and then quit it will still be better than any steam sale I have purchased in my entire life. There is not going to be a game like EQ1 again, nor am I looking for it. You have not played FF14, so how would you know if it's lived up to the hype? Also, what hype? The original was complete garbage, and I don't know anyone who played ARR who was dissatisfied with what they got. Including you, since you know, you've never played it.
