Does anyone still play WoW?
I just started up again a month or two ago out of boredom and took over one of my friends hundred accounts and just seeing if anyone here plays. I don't really do any pve just stick with pvp since I can hop on and off when I feel like.

I play some still. No serious raiding any more. Mainly 5 mans and some raid finder. Just a couple nights a week if I have free time.
Re: Does anyone still play WoW?
once in a blue moon I get in game - rarely though, I just don't have time with work anymore =(

Re: Does anyone still play WoW?
I haven't logged in since the night my daughter was born.
*shrugs*. Can't say that I've missed it either, but I am looking forward to the eventual release of EQ Classic. (Hint hint to Yeahlight)

Hubby plays, though I can't think of the two servers he's on. Due to his schedule, though, he's most only overnight, on the weekend.
There's an official trailer for patch 5.2:

Re: Does anyone still play WoW?
The trailer did look a lot childish. It didn't have the polish of some of older trailers. Like they just spliced moving characters together to make it. I expected more from blizzard.
No sig for me.
Re: Does anyone still play WoW?
They have been doing a lot more in game footage than full cinematic stuff lately. That might be part of it.
Re: Does anyone still play WoW?
the ingame footage is a lot easier and faster to do. Those fancy cinematics take tons of time and money. They only do those really for full new expantions, not .x patches really.

I just reactivated. Playing on Silverhand and Blackrock currently.
Re: Does anyone still play WoW?
I think I have a naked toon on Blackrock, but all of my equipped ones are on Earthen Ring.

Blizzard has confirmed an in-game store is on the way to World of Warcraft, and detailed what regions will be getting what first.
Community manager Bashiok explained that, for many, the store will simply offer a more convenient way to purchase items already available from Blizzard's Cash Shop.
"For players who are already interested in the in-game items we offer, such as Pet Store pets and mounts, the benefits of an in-game store are pretty clear. We think everyone would appreciate the convenience of being able to make such purchases without having to leave the game, and ultimately that’s our long-term goal for the system, though there’s quite a bit of work involved in retrofitting those existing items into the new system."
He then went on to clarify that the experience boosting items previously uncovered would be offered "in Asian regions, at the outset" before revealing another in-game item that'll also be available for purchase.

Win tix to Blizzcon, from SteelSeries here.
The prize also includes airfare, hotel, spending money, and a custom-made costume, among other things.

Re: Does anyone still play WoW?
Wow, there are still people here. Amazing. Just typed in the URL for old times sake; was pretty shocked that it worked.
Resubscribed to WoW the other day because my son's nine (practically) now, and he wanted to try it out. Kind of fun for nostalgia's sake, and since in theory I can play with him although I haven't had a chance to yet.
They seem to have dumbed it down an awful lot though, and I don't remember leveling being so fast - he got to level 25 in 2 days without ever having played before. I'm sure it didn't used to be that fast, or did it? And the auction house is pretty dead for anything costing less than 1,000 gold or so, which is boring. PVP is still kind of entertaining.
My old character was completely stripped by by hackers, which is puzzling since it happened something 2 or 3 times over the years, when I wasn't playing and the account was inactive and without my ever having told anyone the password or written it in files or email, so that's odd. Just every few years I'd get a "we noticed unusual activity on your character" msg from Blizzard and they'd reset the password. Might have used the same password on some other game server, but still that implies server side hackery on some server or other.
