The only person I know who still plays EQ.
How about those fucking stats? I remember the first time I broke 6k hps at an Avatar of War raid using a buff stacking bug that let you get like 5 shaman hp buffs.

Sanctus Seru is actually a lovely venue for a wedding. They have a catering service on site that serves Tae Ew Soup. I think there is also complimentary Kaladim Constitutional.
They have an omelette bar and will do what you please but you have to bring your own Griffon Eggs.

Please remember to keep your weapons sheathed throughout the service out of respect.
Re: The only person I know who still plays EQ.
The weapon unsheathing comes after the service.....if you know what I mean!!!

Re: The only person I know who still plays EQ.
I've began wondering what EQ Next will be like. Arbaal messaged me the other day and it piqued my interest. They have their big unveiling in August, so I'll see what it looks like.
Early reports (from people that were invited to look at it during E3) said that it was easily "the" game of E3. *shrugs*

Yeah that's what I am waiting for. Said it was more like EQ1 then Eq2. Which in my book is greatXarpolis wrote:I've began wondering what EQ Next will be like. Arbaal messaged me the other day and it piqued my interest. They have their big unveiling in August, so I'll see what it looks like.

Well EQ2 felt like a wow clone to me and did not feel much like EQ at all. Haven't really heard anything about EQ3 though, will have to check it out.

It's not supposed to be EQ3. It's supposed to be kind of a new look at the old world. Not continuing the story or whatever.
No sig for me.
Re: The only person I know who still plays EQ.
If it's not "easy mode" I'll look into it. Everything I've heard is that it's going to be different from anything else out there. I'm all for that, but the past few years MMO's have really sucked balls.
Re: The only person I know who still plays EQ.
He's about to break 100K HPs unbuffed. Jesus Christ. Also nearly 10K AA.
Re: The only person I know who still plays EQ.
The whole "easy mode" argument is complete bullshit, because there is no large market for an unfriendly and punishing game, with horrible AI and extreme grinding that is also completely unsoloable.damim72 wrote:If it's not "easy mode" I'll look into it. That said, I don't have any real interest in another WoW style MMO. They need to change it up big time, I need some novelty back.
Re: The only person I know who still plays EQ.
I don't have a problem with being able to solo through an entire game, but I want there to be some risk. The games that I've played recently, there is zero risk. You are given a pointer on a map as to where to go, what to click, etc. That's just mind numbingly boring to me.

I've never been a fan of WoW's death system. It's too easy. You lose some money, but that's all. Death doesn't matter in the game, so there's no real risk associated with doing anything.
No sig for me.
Re: The only person I know who still plays EQ.
Ultimately, all death systems in MMOs are a timesink, nothing more. Losing gold, losing experience, its all the same things, time. The questions is how much time? To me I just don't have the time to grind out losing levels and levels of experience like I did in EQ.Xarpolis wrote:I've never been a fan of WoW's death system. It's too easy. Re: The only person I know who still plays EQ.
I wasn't so much worried about the experience. That was pretty meaningless. Especially once the 96% exp rez was put in.
The bigger issue was losing your gear until you were able to fight back to your corpse. That's what made death (for the small group at least) a little more risky.
It gave dungeon exploring, for example, more of a rush. You had a reason to play your best, because death wasn't pleasant.
