Yeah this game looks interesting. Not sure what I think about the payment model, but the game itself has me intrigued.

Game is crazy, will have to learn how to play an MMO again after Blizzard dumbed down the MMO market. It's good, going to pre-order the game next week when you can. Comes out on June 3rd, or May 31st with a pre-order. Can start the pre-orders on the 19th of March.

I played the weekend trial and didn't like this at all. It was fun the first time, when it was called Guild Wars 2. The setting didn't grab me at all. Story/lore bored me to tears. The fucking watermark all over the screen really made it aggravating to play. Game was pure sandbox MMO, which I don't have a problem with. However, I didn't see anything that caught my eye, stood out as unique, or stood out at all. Lost total interest in the second zone. Granted, I didn't play this very long and could get much more interesting, just rubbed me wrong from the start though.

Also, WoW dumbing down the MMO market is fucking dumbest statement of all time. Some of the past challenge mode raids during their release have been the toughest PvE content to exist in any MMO. I don't do WoW anymore, but can't understand statements like that. Always seems to be made by some dude who did LFR twice and thought he was awesome.

Rather than dumbing down the MMO market, I'd say WoW DDR'd it. Boss fights can get quite complicated, sure, but they're designed with a solution in mind which the players are left to execute from the get go. Previous MMOs didn't put that much thought into things, players were left to figure out how to fight a fight while devs simply through a bunch of numbers together with some general rules.

played for a few minutes and then uninstalled the beta, wasn't that interesting. Archeage looks interesting though.

Anyone playing?

I didn't get into the Beta because of the timing (to much shit going on the weekends it was running). I went ahead and did the pre-order and started playing yesterday to give it a shot. I've spent $60 on worse shit that this before so....

Honestly it's pretty shitty thus far. Nothing new, nothing really exciting.

See, for me it's totally different. 5 mans are fun as hell, and I enjoy the story so far.

So far I am totally loving the game.

The combat is fun and the story is pretty good. I enjoy that this is not the same hack and slash fantasy type story.

A buddy of mine sent me a 7 day trial pass, but this game... and only this game.. crash the hell out of my computer :( I've tried the simple stuff like blowing the dust out of the case, etc. The last time I tried, I had just zoned into the game and had the symptom; black screen, looping sound and then PC reboots or I have to outright power it off :(

Looks cool though. I have also heard that group content is challenging. That sounds pretty refreshing. WoW content has become such a joke; everything aside from normal and heroic raiding is pretty much mass AOE, faceroll content. I miss the days of Kunark in EQ, doing Sebilis groups down into Disco or Shroom King.

Yeah working on 5 man now.

Shit is hard, and fun as hell at the same time. At this point just working on getting Gold on Adventures to get gear for my group. Should be moving on to the Dungeons in about a week or so.

Game is fun, refreshing take to the days of old where doing five mans took some skill.
